Simply Pro is a Brno-based consulting company with more than 20 years of experience in the grant consulting segment. Their core values are honesty, fair approach and absolute perfectionism in project management, which is proven by 100% success rate of subsidy projects under their management and long-term cooperation with clients lasting even a quarter of a century.
Simply Pro wanted to step out of the grey of traditional grant consultants and jump straight into the online world, with which they had absolutely no experience. The goal was to create a new visual identity and start generating leads from the online environment.
At Simply Pro, they have historically not addressed marketing at all and have never worked with its added value. The firm had an outdated web presence with minimal value. Their visual identity did not adequately reflect the owner and staff’s approach to their clients and business was conducted solely on a personal and referral basis.
The client had minimal awareness of the possibilities that the current marketing world offers, so we started with a creative workshop. We locked ourselves in our boardroom for six hours and together the ladies and I identified their strengths and weaknesses, talked about the values they believe in, their approach to clients and what would help them truly love their work and do it with pride. We also discussed the standard sales cycle, ideal KPIs for campaigns, created value curves, and broke down the competition in detail.
We had a few ideas in our heads right away and we started working on them immediately. The new visual identity had to be fresh, modern, but at the same time clean, simple and, for the sake of corporate, church and government clients, a little conservative. The basic pillar of the new brand was a circular motif that not only continued the old and inappropriate, albeit very familiar to clients, logotype, but above all perfectly illustrated the style of their work – a never-ending and mutually supportive set of activities. Two unconnected, overlapping circles were created, symbolizing the “carousel” (as the client aptly called it during the first meeting) of their activities. Complemented by a modern patchless font in multiple cuts, they laid the foundation for the new Simply Pro logo. This was followed by the preparation of a set of materials ranging from business cards and email signatures to USB drives and document folders. Judge for yourself how you like it.
When designing the website, we were clear: the aim of the website would not be to present individual services, but rather a unique and comprehensive approach to work. The website must be clear, simple and with a minimum of distracting content – their clients demand efficiency and professionalism, not cool solutions, and without a face-to-face meeting with the client it won’t work here anyway. So a five-page website was created that outlines the history, experience, references, and approach to the firm’s work in a few steps. It was necessary to highlight the segments of interest within the grant, which we solved by changing the header image so that the user would be clear at every point on the site that Simply Pro would help them with their type of business.
The obvious candidate for us to start with was ads in search networks. Simply Pro doesn’t have the capacity to create content and trying to convince potential entrepreneurs, directors or bishops to collaborate on donations with a display campaign is definitely not the right fit. Potential clients have to solve the problem themselves, we just offer them the best solution. And the best is! During our long-term cooperation we have seen for ourselves why clients prefer Simply Pro. Keyword analysis, structure and account preparation – all with the active participation of the client, as a word-of-mouth expert in this segment, was a matter of moments. In preparing the structure of the ads, we paid particular attention to the values and approach to work, simply what you can “talk around” in an ad, but not in a face-to-face meeting. Immediately after the launch, while the website was still a makeshift one-page site, the first leads started pouring in. And they were really relevant with follow-up calls and in-person meetings. You can see that when the client and the agency do their job well, and they fit each other, everything just makes sense!
Thanks to long-term cooperation, mutual trust and the use of modern approaches to marketing and presentation, we managed to create a concise visual identity representing the client and its values, a highly functional web presentation and a set of materials supporting sales. Along with performance campaigns, the generation of relevant leads and the resulting business opportunities was essentially turned around. Above all, the client was given the opportunity to continue riding the wave of modern trends in their business and now presents their company with pride. That’s something we’re really proud of.
I didn’t pay much attention to marketing and web for 5 years, with the establishment of the company I had a simple website created just to be, I got the orders on personal reference. But the company is thriving and I got to a point where I felt I needed to change the presentation of the company to be more telling of who we are, how we do things and why we are good.
